I am a convert from the world of Jane Austen and my private world that would make many blush and sigh. If Sarah Maclean’s words can make me blush, swoon (yes, swoon), cry, laugh and root for the heroine who is strong & feisty then you may miss out on pleasure. Not many writers can make you literally feel the heat of the passion. The 50 Shades of Gray genres are a farce about that world but Sarah Maclean gives her characters strength, weaknesses, heat, attraction and depth of soul. I usually only read or listen to nonfiction but as a lark I was inspired to listen to one of her audiobooks. 9 books, both formats, I am praying she has cloned herself and will come up enough books for the rest of the year…which would be 1 a day. I can dream can’t I? Now back to the next book in this delicious sequel. I am quite fond of my toes curling in delight!

I just read this book a second time and boy does it remind me why I LOVE Sarah Maclean! Her characters come alive, such depth and the emotions that jump off the pages, unbelievable!! These two are fantastic together Penelope and Bourne (Michael) loved them both and best of all there romance is one you just don't forget! I have read all if this authors books and you cannot got wrong. Can't wait for Temples book (No Duke goes Unpunished). But the one I really really am looking forward to is Chases book!!

Better than most!

This was a very good read, especially if you want to escape reality for awhile. It took me awhile to connect Penelope with Maclean's other novel that featured Langston. The characters were well developed and the development of their relationship was believable. I really like this author. I definitely recommend this book.

Really enjoyed this book. The letters between the two main characters gave the reader more insight into the character development and I couldn't put this book down! I am definitely looking forward to reading Cross' book and most certainly Chase's if it has been or will be written. Chase seems to have a strong character to be developed somewhere! ;)

I found this book by searching web for romance novels reviews. After reading several poorly written novels I was quite frustrated with the glut of novels in the genre, but the lack of well crafted, as well as, well edited novels. Sarah MacClean did not disappoint! Although I did find two minor errors (proofreaders have gotten lazy I guess), they were not so glaring as to require that I read an entire page to understand a poorly written paragraph. I was delighted with the characters, the characterizations, the plot and the smoochies! Well done! I will certainly buy her other titles!

This was such an interesting, well written book that I was up into the wee hours to finish it! Pippa and her sisters are a delight with their distinctive personalities and characters. Although I found Bourne's character a bit dark, it definitely added depth to the storyline and made the ending that much sweeter. I really appreciated the cohesive, engaging plot and development of the characters' personalities. In a time of cheaply produced, mass marketed romance novels, this book stand out as a gem!

If Sarah Maclean’s words can make me blush, swoon (yes, swoon), cry, laugh and root for the heroine who is strong & feisty then you may miss out on pleasure. Not many writers can make you literally feel the heat of the passion. The 50 Shades of Gray genres are a farce about that world but Sarah Maclean gives her characters strength, weaknesses, heat, attraction and depth of soul. I usually only read or listen to nonfiction but as a lark I was inspired to listen to one of her audiobooks. 9 books, both formats, I am praying she has cloned herself and will come up enough books for the rest of the year…which would be 1 a day. I can dream can’t I? Now back to the next book in this delicious sequel. I am quite fond of my toes curling in delight!

I have read all if this authors books and you cannot got wrong. Can't wait for Temples book (No Duke goes Unpunished). But the one I really really am looking forward to is Chases book!!

This was a very good read, especially if you want to escape reality for awhile. It took me awhile to connect Penelope with Maclean's other novel that featured Langston. The characters were well developed and the development of their relationship was believable. I really like this author. I definitely recommend this book.

Really enjoyed this book. The letters between the two main characters gave the reader more insight into the character development and I couldn't put this book down! I am definitely looking forward to reading Cross' book and most certainly Chase's if it has been or will be written. Chase seems to have a strong character to be developed somewhere! ;)

I found this book by searching web for romance novels reviews. After reading several poorly written novels I was quite frustrated with the glut of novels in the genre, but the lack of well crafted, as well as, well edited novels. Sarah MacClean did not disappoint! Although I did find two minor errors (proofreaders have gotten lazy I guess), they were not so glaring as to require that I read an entire page to understand a poorly written paragraph. I was delighted with the characters, the characterizations, the plot and the smoochies! Well done! I will certainly buy her other titles!

I was up till 6 am reading this book ! I couldn't put it down :-) I was surprise how good the story was ! Can't wait for Pippa and Cross story :)

Ah!

Ahhh! The way she ended it! I can't wait for the next in the series! (ugh late 2012) Loved the story, great author. Funny at times, sweet and romantic, not too corny, and the dirty parts were just how I liked them! ;)

Great read!

This was such an interesting, well written book that I was up into the wee hours to finish it! Pippa and her sisters are a delight with their distinctive personalities and characters. Although I found Bourne's character a bit dark, it definitely added depth to the storyline and made the ending that much sweeter. I really appreciated the cohesive, engaging plot and development of the characters' personalities. In a time of cheaply produced, mass marketed romance novels, this book stand out as a gem!

Great book

Thought this one of the most interesting books written this year. The fact that it's number 6 on the chart is very disappointing. Well written, well developed characters and a trails of passion that leaves you breathless. Nice read, would recommend to lovers out there of historical's any day.

Loved Penelope & her sister Pippa but Bourne's character is why I give it just 4 stars But definitely worth the read
